PictureCHARLY NORTHRUP
Charly Northrup has been dancing for over 30 years. She is trained in various styles of dance
including contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap, ballroom, modern, several styles of hip hop, and many more. She has also trained at various studios throughout the state, although most of her training came from Calliope, The Ballet School, and Treehouse Athletic Club. In high school, she was on the Olympus High dance company (serving as an officer her senior year) and drill team. She was also on numerous semi/pre-professional companies such as Sojourn and Dance Illusion’s The Project. She was a part of the youth cast for Odyssey Dance Theater’s “Thriller” for 5 years. After high school, she went to Dixie State College on a dance scholarship. As an adult, she was on Transfusion Hype (now Myriad) and Underground Crew. For over 20 years, she has been teaching throughout the state of Utah at countless studios such as Just Dance Studio (Magna), Dance Tech, Element Dance Center, and, currently, at Millennium Dance Complex. She specializes in teaching ballet, contemporary, jazz technique, and whacking. She was also assistant coach for Kearns High drill team for 5 years and is currently their head coach. She discovered at a young age that creating choreography was her biggest passion and has choreographed for a substantial number of studios, companies, and teams. Charly is also a wife and mother. She is currently dancing with Underground Crew and, even after 30 years of training, continues to learn/grow in as many styles of dance as possible with no plans to stop!

PictureDIEGO BALLESTEROS
Diego Ballesteros was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his training in dance at the age of 14, being given the opportunity shortly after being adopted in his teen years. His training ranged in a variety of styles - Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Jazz Funk  knowing promptly he wanted to pursue dance as a career.
Diego quickly learned he had a passion for teaching and choreographing. His work was recognized instantaneously and he began teaching throughout Utah creating original and memorable choreography that openly helped expand his network across the nation.
Diego’s training continued as a Principal dancer on Odyssey Dance Theatre under the direction of Derryl Yeager. He danced professionally with the company for 7 seasons and has had the honor and privilege to be casted in lead roles such as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and Drosselmeyer in the Redux Nut-Cracker. Diego has been fortunate to be casted in original works from choreographers such as Christian Denice, Garrett Smith, Derryl Yeager, Bonnie Story and many more. He has had the fortuity to create and choreograph original works on Odyssey Dance Theatre, which is one of his proudest accomplishments as a choreographer. His work was showcased and performed in the U.S and all across Germany on the company’s European Tour. Odyssey has been a huge stepping stone in his career and he is grateful for the opportunities the company and his Director have provided him.
Diego then spent a season dancing as a professional dancer for the NBA as a Utah Jazz Dancer. He was honored to be one of the very first men to be selected to be a part of the NBA legacy.
He recently accepted a contract dancing for Royal Caribbean and will be touring around Italy/Greece as well as the Caribbeans as he pursues a new venture through dance.
